Overview

Large flows made the river virtually unfishable

Current Conditions

I hiked to the Colorado from the Reider Creek access in between Kremmling and Parshal. Expecting reasonable pre-runoff flows I as astounded to see the river well over the bank and into the willows. There was about 6 inches of clarity in the water, so it wasn't completely blown out; but the high flows quickly deterred me from wetting my line. Turns out flows coming out of the Williams Fork and Windy Gap reservoirs were up considerably, creating larger than usual flows. Shows that you should ALWAYS check the flow of a river before venturing out.
