Overview

The Blue River in March can be a great destination for some productive winter fishing.

Current Conditions

With the recent spell of warmer weather, fishing on the Blue should improve greatly. Expect to see more productive hatches of Baetis and Midges during the middle of the day. Deep nymphing will remain the most productive technique, as the fish will typically be holding in the slower water. Quiet approaches and delicate presentations are a must due to the lower water. As a result, sight fishing will be a great way at going after some of the larger and pickier fish.
