Overview

Things are starting to slow down on the Dream. Although some lake run fish are still in the river, I think the brutes have retreated back to 11-Mile Reservoir.

Current Conditions

We arrived at the parking lot around 8:30am, and to our suprise there were few fish in the lower lot. Hoping to find some large Rainbows, we started the day fishing below the bridge. Although many nice sized fish were spotted, they were all very spooky and tough to get a drift to. We were able to hook into a few, but a majority of fish to hand were of a much smaller size. Kokanee were spotted in numerous pools, and were easy to catch using anything bright and flashy. We ventured up river in the afternoon, and were able to get into a lot of small fish, and a few hooks ups with some larger resident and lake run browns. We didn't really start to find good number of fish until we got to the upper 1/4 of the river, where one brown of 24" was taken on a buckskin egg (sorry no picture of this one). All in all, a great day on the dream with light crowds, good weather and plenty of fish to hand.
